Next Minute Productions is an award winning Film and Theatre company. Next Minute was formed in 2021 when Siobhán and Imogen sat down in a Le Pain Quotidian and decided to make a short film. Next Minute Productions collaborated with Ozaki studios to create this short film - The Reunion, which was nominated for Lovesick Film Festivals best picture and which awarded Imogen best actress. The film won the Indie Shorts Award for best acting duo and received an honorable mention from Blackbird Film Festival. After shooting The Reunion Next Minute collaborated with a public high school in Cleveland, Ohio to film three pilot episodes of a web series Survival: A Day Job Series. This created the opportunity for high school students to have an education experience on set both in front of and behind the camera. At the end of 2023 Next Minute mounted their first full theatrical production, the original play Friends & Lovers & Others, at The Tank in NYC. Tonight you are seeing Next Minute’s first staged performance the two woman show Lucy Light. We hope to see this show grow monumentally in the coming years. With its team having roots in England and Ireland, it is Next Minute’s aspiration to produce this play across the pond as well as around the United States. Due to the subject matter of the show we would also love to see this play have a life on college campuses, in high schools, and at charity events across the country.
